Yesterday I went and got some kinky twist done 4 the 1st time. The lady asked me if I wanted my ends curly or crinkly, I told her curly thinking that they would have a cute little wave to them. She put these tiny rollers on the end of the hair and dipped them in hot water and when she removed the rollers the hair on the ends looked like shirley temple curls. I hate them they do not look right. Does anyone know if I can straighten them out a lil bit by braiding sections of the...

I am so fed up with my hair, it is ridiculous.
I don't know what type of hair it is, but no one I know has a hair type like mine. It is very fine/thin, and very soft so it is hard for me to do ANYTHING to it.I have to wash it every 5-7 days, or it just won't cooperate with me at all. A wrap is a joke now that it is hot, my hair curls up with one drop of moisture.
I ask because of the "curl definition" thread. Did you go natural because you thought you had curls...ie "good" hair?
Would you have been happy with your nappy hair if there was little to no "curls"?
Are some naturals to obsessed with having or defining the curls in our hair?
