when I was relaxed ... I just washed weekly and used a ceramic flat iron on my hair. I was able to go 10 weeks without a relaxer.

But I sort of want to be talked out of it, lol. I have been battling this decision for the longest. What can I use in my hair to make the curls a bit more loose? Or to keep it straight er longer when I flat iron it?

I own a Chi, and I really like it. J C Penny had a great sale last week, and I bought a Pro Touch on sale for $39.00 regular price $49.95, and it does a good job. That is not a bad price for a flat iron with tourmaline infused ceramic plates.

well i bought a cheap flat iron ($40) from sally's (curlmasters) and it gets my hair bone straight and I have never had any problems with it.

... I am curious what other naturals use. I've found that most of the stuff that I have tried in the past (don't flat iron my hair often at all) would work great if I were relaxed. But not so much on my napps.

I've used one. I didn't experience any real damage...however, it took too long and it was kind of poofy afterwards.

I bought it!...and youre right...No...No....No! I tried it once, didnt work... for one, you have to go over it several times, just for it to dry, then to straighten it...my hair was jacked up... ...JUNK!
